Arbitron announced it will reissue the most recently released Atlanta ratings data on Thursday. It will include weeks in February and March. The reason? Radio One’s simulcast of WAMJ-FM and WUMJ-FM (Urban AC) were not appropriately reported as combined estimates from 2/5—3/4.
Excerpts from a note sent to subscribers: “Estimates reported for WPZE-FM reflected listening to WPZE-FM at 97.5 from February 5th through February 14th, and at 102.5 from February 15th through March 4th.
Estimates reported for WAMJ-FM reflected listening to WAMJ-FM at 102.5 from February 5th through February 14th, and at 107.5 from February 15th through March 4th. Estimates were not reported for WJZZ-FM, as the station had signed off the air prior to the close of the February report period.
Estimates for WAMJ-FM, however, were not appropriately reported, as these estimates did not include listening to Total Line Reporting partner WUMJ-FM. As WAMJ-FM and WUMJ-FM simulcasted 100% of the time both stations were on the air (and continued simulcasting throughout the March report period), these stations were eligible for Total Line Reporting.”
