Chris Riello has jumped from Cambridge Technology to IP- and fiber-based media transport solutions provider Artel Video Systems as VP/Product Development.

Artel supports broadcast communications, and in his new role will assist in building the company’s global engineering teams.

“Chris’ extensive leadership background in building highly collaborative engineering organizations will be critical to Artel’s growth,” said Artel President/CEO Mike Rizzo. “We are excited to add Chris to our management committee and look forward to his contributions in defining the strategic direction of Artel’s product portfolio.”

As VP/Engineering at Cambridge Technology, Riello focused on new technology development and strategic research initiatives and was a key contributor involved in the company’s mergers and acquisitions.

Previously, Riello was VP/Engineering Sycamore Networks (now Coriant), a leading producer of optical switching equipment and network solutions for the telecommunications industry.
