As Gray Stock Slumps, Coles Gets Kentucky Call

There’s a bit of a slump on Wall Street for Gray Television stock.

With Monday’s close on Wall Street, GTN is now at its lowest price since early February.

With that as a backdrop, Gray after the Closing Bell on July 10 appointed Tim Coles as the new GM and GSM of its ABC/FOX dual affiliate in Bowling Green, Ky. — WBKO-TV.

He joins WBKO after holding similar duties since 2015 at KMVT-TV and KSVT-TV in Twin Falls, Idaho. Before that, Coles spent 13 years as the Digital Sales Manager for Gray’s
WKYT-TV in Lexington, Ky., and WYMT-TV in Hazard, Ky.

With Coles shift back to Kentucky, KNIN-TV in Boise, Id., GM will add similar duties for the Twin Falls stations.

Gray says this dual role “will allow for greater coordination and cooperation between our stations in these adjacent Idaho markets.”

The appointments will be effective on June 15.

For Gray, the changes are a positive amid some negative energy clouding GTN on the NYSE.

After reaching a record $24.17 on April 8, Gray shares have been in retreat.

There is no clear indicator for the nearly two-month decline.
