Assessing the Interep impact

MFM and BCCA have scheduled a special telephone seminar for Thursday afternoon to discuss how radio companies will be affected by the outcome of the federal bankruptcy court hearing earlier in the day, when a judge is expected to rule on the motion by trustee Kenneth Silverman to continue operating Interep while he seeks a buyer for the rep firm. Attorney Wanda Borges, who will be attending the hearing, and BIAfn Vice President Mark Fratrik will lead the discussion.

“For our members, Interep and its major competitor have virtually been the only game in town; they are naturally very concerned about the impact of its bankruptcy on their businesses and the industry in general.  The current economy only exacerbates their concerns,” stated Mary M. Collins, President & CEO of MFM and its BCCA subsidiary. Information on the seminar is available on the MFM website.
