He returned to the audio content creation and distribution company then known as Entercom in June 2020 after exiting in June 2018 as EVP and Chief Content Officer, overseeing programming, research, music initiatives and talent relations.

When he came back to the company, it was for the position of Market Manager for New York at the company today known as Audacy Corp.

As of today, Chris Oliviero has a new title: Market President.

This cements him in a role formerly held by COO Susan Larkin at 345 Hudson Street.

From there, Audacy/New York runs spoken word stations WFAN-AM & FM, WCBS-AM and WINS-AM alongside Classic Hip-Hop WXBK “94.7 The Block”; Alternative WNYL-FM 92.3; Classic Hits WCBS-FM; Hot Adult Contemporary WNEW-FM; and WXBK HD2, now the home for the Country 94.7 brand formerly on the HD1 signal.

In prepared comments, Larkin said, “For the last two years Chris has been successful leading and evolving Audacy’s largest revenue market. Chris returned to our company in June of 2020 in the heart of COVID and provided a vision and strategic plan for our New York. team to leverage the strength of our incredible brands, people and influence for all around growth. Our team and brands are thriving with a great roadmap for continued success. In addition, Chris has been an important thought leader for many of us and will continue to take an active role in a variety of strategic initiatives.”

Oliviero is well-known for his programming experience, which dates to his July 2004 appointment as Director of Original Programming for all Infinity Broadcasting stations. His experience is largely based in the spoken word arena. From 1998-2000 was an executive producer at WFAN, following two years as a Production Assistant for The Howard Stern Show at former flagship WXRK-FM (now WNYL) as an intern while studying at New York University. He was also an Executive Producer from 2000-2004 at WNEW during its “Hot Talk” phase, and later during its short-lived life as Hot AC “Blink.”
