Auditor switch for Westwood/Dial Global

For at least a few more days the company is officially Westwood One, so that’s the name on the SEC filing announcing that the radio network company now called Dial Global has changed outside auditors.

As of November 23rd, the new board of directors dismissed PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as its independent registered public accounting firm. Taking its place is Ernst & Young LLP.

Not surprisingly, Ernst & Young has been the auditor for Verge Media, the parent company of Dial Global which was merged into Westwood One.

RBR-TVBR observation: This is not unusual when a change of control takes place. The filing noted that the outgoing auditor had not had any disagreements with Westwood One management over audits or accounting procedures for 2009 through the dismissal date last month.
