American Urban Radio Networks News Director Tene’ Croom, along with AURN Hollywood Correspondent, Tanya Hart, took part in ABC’s special media event for their Emmy-award winning daytime drama, “All My Children.”

After interviewing Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams, who play Angie and Jesse Hubbard, along with other members of their TV family, Tanya and Tene’ took on a much different role, so to speak. It was lights, camera, and action for the two ladies of AURN. They appear on “All My Children” with the stars of the show on May 19 at 1p/et12pt.

“I had a blast putting down the microphone and putting on doctors scrubs for my cameo role portraying a doctor on the show. It was my distinct honor and pleasure to take part in the special media event.” Tene’ said.

The Hubbards came to the fictional Pine Valley in the early 1980’s, as the first and foremost African American family in daytime television.  Almost three decades later the Hubbard family is still one of the strongest African American family units on television today.

Tanya noted, “I have been covering television shows and movies for years, often from the vantage point of being on the set as it happens. But my experience of actually being a part of the iconic day time drama, “All My Children,” was truly an amazing experience. The best part, since I was playing the role of a sick patient; I got rolled around in a wheelchair by a really handsome actor!”
