Home improvement stores certainly remain one of the biggest categories for spot cable. But, the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Cable report shows that auto insurers are back at it — and in a significant way.
The big No. 1, with a play count of nearly 50,000, is Progressive.
The auto insurance specialist took the top spot away from Lowe’s by committing to nearly 10,000 more cable spots.
Meanwhile, there’s a new entrant at No. 3 — and it’s Allstate.
Where’s the Gecko? GEICO is down to No. 5, with just over 38,000 spins.
At No. 8 is another auto insurer, and one that is a bit more fiscally conservative in its marketing efforts: Liberty Mutual.
