Bayliss Foundation completes board restructuring

The John Bayliss Foundation announced that it has completed the restructuring of its Board of Directors, following the recent decision to have the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) administer the Bayliss Radio Scholarship Fund. The foundation says the new board has been structured with an eye toward growing the scholarship endowment now being administered by BEA.

As part of the restructuring, the size of the Bayliss board has been reduced and new officers were recently elected.  Larry Patrick of Patrick Communications becomes Chairman; Dave Kennedy of FlyCast serves as Treasurer and Bishop Cheen of Wells Fargo serves as Secretary of the Foundation.  The Bayliss Foundation corporate office also moves from California to Maryland where Patrick Communications will handle its administrative duties.

The Bayliss Foundation provides scholarships to deserving college students interested in a career in radio.  To date, 345 students have been awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships by the Foundation.

The Bayliss website now links to the BEA site so that contributions may be made directly to support the Bayliss Scholarships there.
