The entire 2011 Baylor football season will be carried in Texas on the Baylor IMG Sports Network and nationally on SiriusXM. The Bears open their 2011 season 9/2 at 7 p.m. against defending Rose Bowl champion TCU in Waco.

Waco’s ESPN Radio KRZI 1660AM again returns as the flagship station for all Baylor Athletic broadcasts, and recently re-upped a five-year agreement with IMG. Baylor football will have a new radio home in Dallas-Fort Worth with Newstalk 660 AM, KSKY. KSKY is also available at 92.9 FM in Dallas, 95.5 FM in Arlington and 99.9 FM in Fort Worth.

Play-by-play will also air in Abilene (KSLI, 1280AM), Austin (KXZN-AM & KWNX-AM 1530 / 1260*), Houston (KNTH, 1070AM) Killeen (KHLE, 106.9FM), Lubbock (KFYO-AM & KKAN-AM 790 /1340) Lufkin (KYBI, 100.1FM), San Antonio (KSLR, 630AM) and Tyler (KPXI, 100.7FM). An Amarillo affiliate is still being secured.

The “Voice of the Bears,” John Morris, will handle the play-by-play for the Baylor IMG team, which will mark his 25th year broadcasting Baylor football. Former Baylor standout J.J. Joe will provide color. Other members of the 2011 Baylor football radio broadcast crew include sideline reporter Ricky Thompson, engineer Craig Harper and IMG Network studio host Bradford Hines.

Broadcasts on KRZI begin two hours prior to kick off with Baylor Alumni Network Tailgate Show, while the other network affiliates scheduled to begin pregame coverage 30 minutes prior to kick off with the Time Warner Cable Countdown to Kickoff.

The Baylor IMG Sports Network also produces live radio play-by-play broadcasts of Baylor men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and select softball games, as well as the State Farm Baylor Hour, which will make its 2011-12 debut next January.
