In April 2018, a historically African American institute of higher learning sold its 50kw Class C2 facility serving the eastern portion of the Triangle region of North Carolina, in addition to three FM translators, to Educational Media Foundation.
Now, EMF has closed on the spin of one of those translators to another major non-commercial religious broadcasting entity.
