Of all of the media companies that are publicly traded on Wall Street, one stands out for perhaps having the best growth performance over the last 60 days.

That would be Beasley Broadcast Group, which brands itself as “Beasley Media Group.”

The media company, which will report its Q4 and full-year 2019 results on Tuesday (2/18), saw its stock push above the $4 barrier on Thursday, bringing it to its best prices in 11 months.

At the Closing Bell, BBGI was trading at $4.04, rising 3.6% from Wednesday’s close.

It’s a big improvement from Dec. 18, 2019, when Beasley shares were at $2.87.

The share growth for Beasley comes as the company continues to grow its profile in the rapidly growing eSports arena.

On Thursday afternoon (2/13), one of its top Philadelphia air personalities — WMMR-FM 93.3 morning host Marisa Magnatta — was holding court at Nerd Street Gamers as host of a panel discussion providing attendees with an “insiders” perspective on eSports and the many paths that an individual can take to pursuing a professional career in professional gaming.

Path to Pro … How to be a Player in Esports was scheduled to offer insight from Houston Outlaws Coach Matt (Flame) Rodriguez and player Daniel (Boink) Pence; Philadelphia Fusion Players Roston Yoo and Isaac “Boombox” Charles; and World Gaming Network (WGN) & College Star League (CSL) CEO Wim Stocks.

Magnatta just wrapped up hosting the first season of an eSports-focused program, FTW Philly, on NBC Sports Philadelphia. “The most common question I hear is, how do you actually start a career in esports,” Magnatta notes. Hence, her decision to host the Path to Pro event.
