Beasley announced its WGAC 580 AM now simulcasts (as of 8/10 3:00 PM) its News/Talk format on 95.1 FM, a switch to a stronger signal from the previous simulcast location on 93.1 FM. The active rock programming previously aired on 95.1 FM (95 Rock WCHZ-FM) moves under the same name to 93.1 on the FM dial.

Beasley Broadcast Augusta’s VP/Market Manager Kent Dunn says that so many people who enjoy the News/Talk format are die-hard FM listeners and never think to sample the AM band. “The strong reach of this 95.1 FM dial position allows us to broaden our audience and introduce even more News/ Talk fans in the…community to award-winning, local market veterans like Harley Drew and Mary Liz Nolan of “Augusta Morning News” and afternoon host Austin Rhodes, as well as nationally syndicated personalities like Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz, Clark Howard, Michael Savage and Dave Ramsey.”
