Beasley Broadcast Southwest Florida announces the appointment of Ruben Perez to Promotions and Non Traditional Revenue Director for Beasley’s five-radio station cluster in the Fort Myers-Naples market. In SW Florida, Beasley Broadcast owns Sunny 106 WJPT-FM, B103.9 WXKB-FM, 96 K-Rock WRXK-FM, 99X WJBX-FM and 770 AM ESPN Sports Radio WWCN-AM. This appointment is effective immediately and Mr. Perez reports to Vice President and Market Manager Brad Beasley.
In this new role, Ruben is responsible for the coordination and execution of all promotions for Beasley’s one AM and four FM radio stations in the Fort Myers-Naples market. Additionally, he is charged with creating and implementing large-scale community events such as festivals and concerts that bring awareness to – and non-traditional revenue for – Beasley’s SW Florida cluster.
Ruben comes to Southwest Florida from Beasley’s South Florida cluster, where he has served as Promotions Director for Miami’s Power 96 WPOW-FM since 2007. Born and raised in New York City, Ruben’s radio career began in 1998 as an intern for the City’s WQHT HOT 97. He worked his way up the ladder becoming the station’s Promotions Manager in 2000. Ruben stayed in this position until 2007, when he moved to Beasley Broadcast Miami and Power 96.
