Almost 20 years after their glorious debut, Beavis and Butthead are coming back to MTV. Creator Mike Judge said 7/21 at Comic-Con in San Diego the ever adolescent, trash-talking duo will return to MTV in the fall–specifically October.
In their new incarnation, the two perennial teens — still wearing their AC/DC and Metallica shirts — will go off on music videos, YouTube submissions and MTV shows such as “Jersey Shore” and “Teen Cribs.”
“They’re also watching UFC fights,” Judge says.
Beavis and Butt-head ran for four years, between 1993 and 1997. In 1996 the duo made the leap to the big-screen with Beavis and Butt-head Do America.
Judge, who also voices many of his characters, says that besides Beavis and Butthead, he hopes to tackle live-action dramas in his creative future.
In the clip, Beavis gets his hand “screwed,”; Jersey Shore gets Butthead commenting: “This is like a family tree, if your family was made of whores”. The footage also shows the return of Cornholio, as Beavis is mistaken for the second coming of a cult god.
