Beckner: Questions on NAB and Aereo


Bruce-BecknerBruce Beckner, Owner at Garvey Schubert Barer, had some thoughts and questions from the WSJ article regarding broadcasters’ “Plan B” for the Aereo situation (if they lose in the Supreme Court).  “Apart from the obvious (seeking a legislative “fix”), what struck me was network people essentially saying they would toss their affiliates over the side and move to an Internet distribution mode. Of course, the networks all have lots of money invested in O&O stations which they would essentially be trashing, but they might see that as a necessary sacrifice.”
