Beck’s Gateway Grab: A St. Louis FM Translator

0

For longtime radio industry professionals, John Beck is best-known for his nearly 35 years at Emmis Communications, a run that concluded as the company’s final SVP of its now-divested St. Louis stations — KSHE-FM, KIHT-FM (now KNOU-FM), KPNT-FM & KFTK-FM. He also had oversight of WRDA-FM 104.1 while at Emmis.

Following his exit from Emmis, Beck dipped into station ownership as a partner on an Arizona deal. Now, he’s formed a company expressly for the purchase of an FM translator in the place he’s called home since 1983.
