Electronics Research Inc. has promoted its Director of Television Sales to the role of VP/U.S. Sales, giving him wider responsibilities that see him leading the company’s domestic sales of television and radio antennae, transmission line, and filter products.
Dave Benco takes the job after spending some two decades in UHF and VHF television, mobile television and distributed transmission systems, FM radio, 2.5 GHz MMDS systems and wireless broadband applications.
Benco reports to ERI COO Kenny Brown, who commented, “Dave has demonstrated that he is the right person to lead ERI’s sales team. He has a deep understanding of the broadcast market, has established relationships with key customers, and has the knowledge and experience needed to maximize the growth opportunities presented by the FCC repack of the broadcast television band.”
Benco was an active participant in the ATSC activities surrounding ATSC Mobile DTV. He has been a member of IEEE BTS and AFCCE, and has presented at multiple technical conferences and meetings.
Before joining ERI, Benco served as Strategic Accounts Manager at GatesAir, National Key Account Manager at Rohde & Schwarz, and as Director of Sales at Axcera.
