BenztownBenztown, the imaging, production library, programming and voice-over services company based in Burbank, announced that Inc. magazine has named the company one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies. Benztown increased sales 438% since the start of 2010, placing it at number 985 on the list of 5,000. The 2013 Inc. 5000 will be unveiled in the September issue of Inc., available on newsstands August 21 to November 15 and on Inc.com. Complete results of the Inc. 5000 can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

The Inc. 5000 is an exclusive annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, ranked according to percentage revenue growth rate over a three-year period. Companies must have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2009 and at least $2 million in 2012 to qualify for the listing. They must also be U.S. based, privately held, independent and for-profit. The Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever in its 32-year history. The median company on the list increased sales 142% since the start of 2010. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle and many other well-known companies gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

Benztown was co-founded in 2008 by L.A.-based President, Dave “Chachi” Denes, 37, a radio producer and former program director of KBIG/MYfm in Los Angeles, and German audio producers and composers Andreas Sannemann, 34, Benztown CEO, and Oliver Klenk, 38, Head of Production and Composition for Benztown. Together with their team, they have steadily built a global company that serves many of the world’s top radio stations and companies with award-winning radio programming content and creative audio branding. Also driving the company’s success is a growing demand for bartered professional programming, production, voice-over and imaging services in the consolidating U.S. radio industry. Benztown currently has 1,900 radio station affiliates on six continents, with nearly 1,200 of them using Benztown’s industry-leading technology and proprietary web-based imaging solution, “Benztown Branding”.

Andreas Sannemann, Benztown CEO said: “The last five years have been a fantastic and inspiring ride, and we are honored to work with the most talented people in the radio industry worldwide. At the top of that list is our tremendously talented team, who has driven Benztown’s phenomenal growth—and our customers’ growth– with their passion and gift for creating the very best in creative branded audio content and syndicated radio programming. We thank the entire team for their continued contributions to our success and growth.”

Dave “Chachi” Denes, Benztown President said: “Benztown was formed when several of us, including myself, were laid off during the height of the recession. Since then, we’ve been a can-do, service-driven company with an incredible work ethic and a quirky creative lens that today drives some of radio’s most memorable branding and programming. That said, we never envisioned that we would be listed alongside iconic companies the likes of Microsoft, Oracle, and Zappos, so it’s incredibly humbling, and we’re ecstatic, to say the least. We love what we do, and feel very fortunate to work with some of the best people in the business.”
