The advanced data and analytics company that takes its name from a well-traveled freeway in Southern California has just named its first Chief Technology Officer.

Earning the title at 605 is Daniel Berg — most recently an independent strategic technology consultant working with various clients in the financial technology, legal technology and advisory services markets.

In his position at 605, Berg will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the ongoing development of technical infrastructure to ingest, warehouse, organize and interact with vast amounts of consumer behavioral data. He will also oversee internal IT, cyber security and other key elements of 605’s product sets.

Berg reports to 605 founder and CEO Kristin Dolan.

“I am confident Dan’s deep expertise in business strategy, combined with his track record of success in bringing technology services and products from concept to deployment, are exactly what we need to move 605 forward and continue to grow our business,” said Dolan. “As a business and technology leader, Dan is adept at aligning technology teams and deliverables with business and revenue goals. His background in financial services technology with its deep foundation in enterprise IT process, data security, data management, analysis and aggregation – as well as his understanding of operations, marketing and business development – will make him a valuable addition to our team.”

“Working with the 605 team to build out the long and short-term infrastructure of this new business is an incredible opportunity,” added Berg. “I’m excited to join a talented and entrepreneurial team with deep industry experience as we strive to improve audience measurement and television analytics, a critical need for media and entertainment businesses in today’s rapidly changing viewing landscape.”
