The Broadcasters Foundation of America is honoring iHeartMedia Chair/CEO Bob Pittman with its Golden Mike Award.
The award will be presented at the BFA’s annual gala Feb. 29 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. The annual event raises funds to benefit the foundation’s mission of providing aid to broadcasters in need.
Vice Chair of the Broadcasters Foundation Dan Mason cited Pittman’s focus on innovation and expanding radio into new platforms for the recognition.
Pittman began his career in radio at age 15 as an announcer in Mississippi.
