Big markets in play for Ion/Urban

0

The agreement which would make Ion Media Networks and Urban Television time-share co-licensees at over 40 Ion television stations involves an impressive collection of major league markets, along with ample representation a notch below that level. Ion, headed by President/CEO R. Brandon Burgess, will hold 49% of the merged entity. Urban will be owned 51% by BET Founder Robert L. Johnson’s Robert L. Johnson; H. Van Sinclair is President/CEO. Financial arrangements have not been disclosed.
