Big Shoe Stu Evans was back to KMLE Country 108 Phoenix as host of afternoon drive beginning on 8/6.  The announcement was made by Jeff Garrison, Operations Manager, CBS Radio Phoenix.  Big Shoe Stu will be heard weekdays 2:00-7:00PM on-air at 107.9 FM or online at www.kmle108.com.

Big Shoe Stu originally joined KMLE in 1989.  He remained on air for 19 years, earning him the longest-running show in Phoenix radio.  In addition, he was named “Air Personality of the Year” by both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music during his tenure with the station.  Big Shoe Stu’s radio career has also included on-air broadcasting positions at WJEZ and WFYR in Chicago and KIMN and KSYY in Denver.

“It’s a really great day for country music fans in Phoenix and for KMLE Country 108,” said Garrison, “Big Shoe Stu is synonymous with the heritage KMLE brand and bringing him back is extremely exciting for our listeners, sponsors and employees.”
