Friends, family and co-workers joined the celebration Thursday as news anchor Bill Bolen retired after more than 40 years on the air at WBRC-TV (Fox) Birmingham, AL.
Bolen’s long career was recalled with many video clips and personal recollections on “Good Day Alabama.”
Governor Bob Riley called to congratulate Bolen on his success and proclaim Thursday as “Bill Bolen Day” in the state of Alabama. Birmingham Mayor William Bell presented Bolen with a key to the city.
