Bill Bonds, Rich Fisher return to Detroit airwaves

Birach Broadcasting’s WCAR-AM (“Detroit’s Stimulating Talk”) in the Motor City will launch its new afternoon drive show (3-6 PM) 10/3, hosted by multi-Emmy Award-winning television news anchormen Bill Bonds and Rich Fisher along with Detroit radio vet Rachel Nevada. “The Bonds and Fisher Show” will provide listeners with an interactive forum for debate and discussion relating to the news of the day which will also feature interviews with newsmakers of the day and celebs.

The show also includes news, entertainment news, sports and traffic. WWJ-TV (CBS) meteorologist Jim Madaus joins the cast with weather.

Bonds and Fisher (left and right in photo, respectively) topped the TV ratings during their many years at Detroit’s WXYZ-TV Channel 7. And now, they are about to transfer their success to radio. Although the two have been close friends for more than 30 years, they’ve been known to not always agree on political issues, with Bill leaning to the left and Rich on the right.
