Birmingham’s Gray-Owned FOX Affiliate Shuffles News Anchors

Gray Television‘s WBRC-TV, branded as “FOX6,” has unveiled a new weekday anchor lineup in its evening and late newscasts as the station moves forward with the retirement of Janet Hall after 40 years of service.


WBRC’s new anchor lineup in the weekday evenings is as follows:
The Four – Sarah Verser and Morgan Hightower
Live at 5 – Sarah Verser and Jonathan Hardison
5:30 P.M. – Jonathan Hardison and Morgan Hightower
6 On Your Side – Sarah Verser and Jonathan Hardison
9 P.M. – Steve Crocker and Catherine Patterson
10 P.M. – Jonathan Hardison and Catherine Patterson

The new evening and late news team will debut on Friday, September 11.

Toi Thornton is being welcomed as the newest member to join the WBRC News team, as Good Day Alabama’s traffic anchor. Thorton is a native of New Orleans but has been a reporter at WALA-10 in Mobile for the past three years. She succeeds Kelsey Davis, who has accepted a position at a Gray Television co-owned property.
