The multi-year agreement will keep Tegna’s 46 television stations on DirecTV and Uverse in local markets.

No financial terms were announced and the companies didn’t say if they had other deals concerning TV Everywhere streaming.

AT&T’s the biggest pay TV distributor with 19.5 million DirecTV customers and 5.9 million with U-verse.

Tegna had warned that its stations might go dark on AT&T with the December 4 expiration of their contract.
