BMW makes room for HD, iHeart

ibiquityHigh definition AM and FM radio from iBiquity Digital and iHeartRadio, the streamed audio from radio’s largest group iHeartMedia is coming as standard equipment in BMW automobiles.


Jeff Jury, Chief Operating Officer of iBiquity Digital said, “BMW is a great partner and we are elated to be celebrating ten years of being a production feature in their vehicles.  We’ve enjoyed growing with the BMW brand and now HD Radio receivers are standard across the entire vehicle line-up.  Ten years ago, it started with BMW and now, all major automakers in the U.S. offer the HD Radio experience to their drivers.”

iHeartMedia stated that its service offers “…access to thousands of iHeartRadio’s live radio stations from across the country and a catalog of more than 20 million songs and 800,000 artists to create custom stations.”
