Board Leaders, Members Elected By APTS

The Executive Director and GM of Iowa PBS has been elected Chair of America’s Public Television Stations (APTS).


The selection of Molly Phillips comes alongside the selection of Howard University Television (WHUT) GM Jefferi K. Lee as Professional Vice Chair and Thirteen/WNET in New York Lay Trustee Carol Kellermann earning re-election as Lay Vice Chair.

The newly-elected officers will begin their terms on February 25.

The newly elected trustees are:

  • DeAnne Hamilton, Executive Director and General Manager of KBTC Public Television in Tacoma, Wash.
  • Laura Hunter, Station Manager and COO of Utah Education Network/KUEN in Salt Lake City
  • Dax Schieffer, Board Chair of Friends of MontanaPBS in Bozeman, Mont.
  • Dolores Sukhdeo, President/CEO of South Florida PBS in Miami.

The newly elected trustees will begin their terms on February 24.

Re-elected to the APTS Board of Trustees are KPBS in San Diego Board Member Kathy Rae and PBS SoCal/KCET in Los Angeles President/CEO Andrew Russell.
