Robert Pricer, longtime owner of WCLT-AM & FM Newark, OH, has died at age 88. He had been hospitalized for several weeks with injuries from a car crash.
According to the Newark Advocate, Pricer began working for WCLT in 1947 when the brand new FM station was under common ownership with the newspaper. The AM is actually younger, added two years later.
Bob Pricer became the station owner 30 years later, in 1977. He remained directly involved in running the station right up until the auto accident. His son, Doug, is currently President and General Manager.
