KQV-AM Pittsburgh reports the death of Bob Sprague, who had been an anchor and reporter for the News/Talk station for 25 years. He died Saturday (7/17) of natural causes at age 71.

Prior to his long stint at KQV Sprague had been a reporter in the early 1970s for WTAE-TV and KDKA-TV, KQV News Director Frank Gottlieb told RBR-TVBR.

According to an obituary in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Sprague’s cremated remains will be interred at a family cemetery in Iowa, but a memorial service in Pittsburgh is being planned for September.
