The Pubic Radio Exchange is opening Boston’s first podcast studio tomorrow. The space will be a recording studio and educational hub dedicated to supporting to supporting audio makers at all levels.
PRX aims to improve the professionalism of podcasting and serve as both a school and rental facility. Classes in audio production and audio story-telling will be offered as will open co-working space to collaborate with other members of the local audio community.
According to the reservation system, guests can book time in spaces ranging from a single-person booth to a four-person studio at the rate of $1 per minute, in quarter-hour increments.
Shure and Sennheiser mics and a Pro Tools audio editing suite are part of the package.
