The first over-the-air multicast network for African Americans has signed on with Gannett Broadcasting to make its WUSA-TV DC the exclusive provider of Bounce TV in the nation’s capitol—on Channel 9.2. The agreement is Bounce TV’s second with a Gannett station–it’s also carried by WATL-TV Atlanta.
Bounce TV is also cleared in Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Cleveland/Akron, San Francisco, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Hartford/New Haven, Norfolk, Dayton, West Palm Beach, Birmingham, Memphis, Louisville, Richmond, VA, among other cities.
Six months after launch Bounce TV has now cleared over 50% of the country, with groups also including Raycom Media, LIN TV Corp., Nexstar Communications, Belo Corp. and Meredith Broadcasting. With the addition of DC, the number four African American market in the country, Bounce TV is now seen in four of the top five African American markets.
