Arbitron had promised the Radio Advisory Council a 10% sample increase in the 18-54 demo for Portable People Meter (PPM) markets for 2010. But the ratings company Friday delayed that until mid-year 2011, with a lesser increase by the end of 2010.
Arbitron will also continue to measure 6-11 year olds in PPM markets. Some broadcasters had pressed for that to be eliminated, so those meters could be reassigned to the traditional 12+ measurement.
