And it was no ordinary theater: NBC Sports Radio talent Brian Kenny (right) and baseball legend Bobby Valentine enjoyed the premiere of the new movie 42 4/9 at Yankee Stadium. 42 is the biographical film about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson. The film stars Chadwick Boseman as Robinson, Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey, Christopher Meloni as Leo Durocher, John C. McGinley as Red Barber, T. R. Knight as Harold Parrott, Lucas Black as Pee Wee Reese and Nicole Beharie as Rachel Isum. 42 is scheduled to be released on 4/12.
Valentine played for the LA Dodgers, California Angels, New York Mets and Seattle Mariners. He managed the Texas Rangers, Mets and Boston Red Sox.
Valentine has also served as an analyst for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. In February, CBSSports.com tapped him to represent its industry-leading Fantasy Sports biz.
