From May 2007 through April 2015, Brian Rooney served as Sales Manager for then-CBS Radio-owned Sports WFAN-AM 660 in New York.
He then went across town, joining iHeartMedia. Now, he’s “come back to brands” he loves — now under the direction of Entercom.
Rooney now holds the role of VP/Director of Sales for Entercom/New York.
He reports to Entercom/New York SVP/Market Manager John Fullam. He said, “Brian’s strong leadership and great track record in New York made him the perfect choice to lead our Entercom New York team.
At iHeart, Rooney served as VP/Sales for the New York Mets Radio Network, based at Talk WOR-AM 710, and for Classic Rock WAXQ-FM “Q104.3.”
Before joining CBS Radio, Rooney spent nearly two years as an AE for Clear Channel Radio in New York. He was also a Sales Manager D&R in New York for Interep from July 1998-August 2005.
