There is a $10.4B deal that would merge the cable systems of Bright House Networks into those of Charter Communications, but the abandonment of the Comcast/TWC merger has changed the dynamics of the MVPD merger landscape.
According to Reuters, Bright House is preparing to withdraw from the Charter deal.
Numerous close observers have been talking about a deal between Charter and TWC, and according to Reuters, talks are already in progress.
Bright House has close ties to TWC, and could figure into any deal made by TWC.
Indeed, as part of the Comcast deal, some Bright House systems that were being operated by TWC were to go to Charter as a third party to the deal.
