British station ordered to go after 65+

The UK’s most listened to radio station, BBC Radio 2, has been picking up young listeners and jettisoning oldsters. That’s not sitting well with authorities, who have ordered it to reverse course.


And you thought you had problems as a US program director having to adapt to PPM measurement! Compared to most other countries, programming on American radio stations is pretty much off limits for government types. But in the UK, where fees are collected from people which go directly to support the BBC, programming is highly regulated.
