The latest quarterly broadcast station totals have been released from the FCC.
When one takes a year-over-year look at the numbers, three things are abundantly clear: noncommercial FM radio is a lucrative opportunity for some, while the FCC’s TV spectrum “repack” lowered the number of commercially licensed UHF stations from the end of September 2020.
The bigger story, however, has to do with FM translators.
