For the first time in 18 months, Dow topped the 11,000 mark, as investors demonstrated their optimism about the return to profitability for many companies in the US. Both radio and television companies joined the ride. It was, however, apparently a bad day to have the word “One” in your name, as both Radio One and Westwood One suffered declines..
The RBR Radio Index rose 7.463, or 7.5%, to 296.074
The TVBR Television Index rose 4.672, or 2.6%, to 186.637.
