Vance HarrisonFor decades, broadcasters throughout Oklahoma have taken their responsibility to warn and prepare residents against the threats of severe weather very seriously.  Due to the extreme and often violent nature of our climate, radio and television stations have earned the trust and credibility of all Oklahomans and this was again validated in the devastating tornadoes of May 19 and 20 in Central Oklahoma.  As over 2500 homes and businesses were obliterated, the actual loss of life was incredibly low.
