Broadcasters remain below the radar at FCC monthly meetings

As usual, the FCC is scheduling its August Open Meeting very early in the month, a tradition that allows as many staffers as possible to participate in a Washington DC tradition – the exodus from the heat and humidity along the banks of the Potomac to diverse points elsewhere. And as has been a tradition for most of 2010, the meeting will be of no interest to broadcasters.

The meeting, pegged for Thursday 8/5/10, will deal with hearing aids and wireless backhaul.

RBR-TVBR observation: From a broadcast standpoint, these are topics that only the most incurable technogeek with an interest in anything that operates with some sort of artificially-generated power could love. So the operating phrase for this one may be “Be there, prove you’re square.”
