Broadcasters want a “Plan B” for Aereo


AereoMajor broadcasters are considering contingency plans in case they lose the high-stakes Supreme Court battle against Aereo. CBS, Fox, ABC and NBC allege Aereo is stealing their content by capturing over-the-air signals and streaming them over the web to subscribers for a fee. They are suing for an injunction that would shut down Aereo.

The high court takes up the case 4/22. The broadcasters say they are optimistic that they will prevail but are nevertheless taking steps to be ready for an adverse ruling.
