Two Fletcher Heald & Hildreth attorneys on Wednesday (10/14) teamed up with the head of the Florida Association of Broadcasters and representatives from the FCC and the former FEMA Administrator for a webinar dedicated to broadcast operations in a time of heightened public concern.
FHH’s Frank Montero and Davina Sashkin teamed up with the FAB’s Pat Roberts in the webinar, which included Lisa Fowlkes and Christina Clearwater of the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and former FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate, founder of Fugate Consulting.
All addressed topics ranging from FCC EAS requirements, IPAWS, hurricanes, COVID-19, and DHS and FCC assistance for broadcasters.
“Now, more than ever, broadcasters must be aware of their vital role in mitigating disaster and the resources that Federal and state governments have to offer,” Montero and Sashkin note.
