BRS Media, Inc.BRS Media announced the launch of Radio’s New Global Domain Extensions [Radio GLDs] next month. The Radio Global Domain Extensions under “.Radio.am” and “.Radio.fm” are designed for start-ups, entrepreneurs, social media ventures, streaming enterprises and traditional broadcasters worldwide, while at the same time encouraging originality in expanding the Radio global domain space.

BRS Media pioneered Industry Specific Domains, launching ‘multimedia’ based TLDs .FM & .AM over 15 years ago, and has increasingly attracted leading social media ventures, streaming entrepreneurs and traditional broadcasters. In 2012, BRS Media submitted its .RADIO Application to ICANN’s New gTLD Program and is still fully committed to the process announced in 2008, that is gradually moving forward.

“We are thrilled about the opportunity to meet the demands of the market by launching Radio’s Global Domains now,” remarked George Bundy, Chairman & CEO of BRS. “It is incredible that it was this week, 15 years ago, April 6th, 1998, that we introduced the world to the .FM TLD. Our depth of experience and understanding in the market demonstrates our commitment to guide the Radio GLDs in a professional, reliable and all-inclusive way.”

The Radio GLDs will utilize Minds + Machines’ Espresso EPP Platform, currently running the .FM Top-Level Registry. TM.Biz, which integrated the Trademark Fact Check service to enable the validation of trademarks for new gTLDs, has been selected as the trademark validation agent. TM.Biz has been approved by CHIP as a Trademark Agent for the Trademark Clearinghouse.
