WILKAfter 40 years behind the mic, talker Bud Brown has retired from Entercom’s WILK-A/FM News radio in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton, PA. Brown started his career in New Jersey then came home to work at cross-town WBRE Radio before moving to WILK.

Brown says his most memorable stories include the George Banks murders and the Flood of 1972.

He tells WBRE/WYOU-TV he’s been blessed to have a job he loves: “I got along with all my coworkers. I respected them. I felt mutual respect returning and I think that more than anything else is what I treasure most about all the things about all the days on the air. ”

Brown is moving to Arizona with his wife.
