He’s already paid to help build it, and now per a 2007 option, Amador Bustos is going to own KTRP-AM Mount Angel OR, taking him to the local ownership cap on the AM side of the dial. He already has four stations on the senior band in the Portland OR market.

The station is a Class B earmarked for 1130 kHz, with 25 kw during the day, 490 watts at night and a directional antenna.

The seller is Jeffrey N. Eustis’s JNE Investments, and the price is $500K. Bustos has already contractually agreed to provide up to $100K in construction funding per the 9/4/07 purchase contract.

The station will join an AM-only cluster that already includes Regional Mexican outlets KGDD-AM Oregon City and KRYN-AM Gresham; Spanish Hits outlet KOOR-AM Milwaukie; and Spanish Contemporary outlet KLPM-AM Portland.
