Sunday mid-afternoon, 4:15pm ET, Charles Schueler, Cablevision’s executive vice president of communications put out another statement on the on gong blackout between Cablevision and Fox in which Schueler, said: “The longer this shameful News Corp. blackout of the NFL and Major League Baseball continues, the more obvious it becomes to everyone, including political leaders of both parties, that binding arbitration is the fastest and fairest way to return Fox programming to Cablevision customers.”

RBR-TVBR reported over the weekend Fox stations still dark on Cablevision. Result: The dispute between both companies came to dead end as the clock hit midnight Saturday 10/16/10, and Fox stations programming went dark from the homes that subscribe to Cablevision. The dispute hits three million Cablevision subscribers in the New York and Philadelphia metro areas.

So over the weekend of 10/16 & 17/10: there was NO Saturday or Sunday National League Championship Game between the Phillies and the Giants and NO Sunday NFL Football plus all the programming Fox provides.
