An eclectic group of artists representing a wide-range of musical genres will be featured in a new series of promotional spots highlighting radio as an influential music discovery tool. Debuting at the RAB  conference, the “New Music” series, produced by Radio Heard Here, is a collection of interviews featuring new artists expressing their affinity for radio both for its power to connect them with a nationwide audience and their own pleasure at discovering new music on the radio. The first featured artist is singer-songwriter Caitlin Crosby whose first album, Flawz, debuts this spring on Blackledge Music.

The interviews will air as 30-second and 60-second spots on approximately 500 AM/FM and HD radio stations across the country. In addition, videos of the interviews will be accessible on YouTube, the Radio Heard Here Web site (www.radioheardhere.com) and the Radio Heard Here Facebook page.  Upcoming artists’ in the series includes singer-songwriter Josh Hoge and soulful rocker Tim Brantley.

“The ‘New Music’ series emphasizes the important role that radio plays in music discovery both for artists as they seek to reach new audiences and for listeners who want to experience new sounds,” said Jeff Haley, RAB CEO. “Turning on the radio and hearing a new favorite song for the first time is a special moment for music fans.”

The series is hosted by Andrew Harrison, the host of WNYU’s “Plastic Tales from the Marshmallow Dimention” (yes, with a “T”) and star of the webisode series “Polyester Dreams.”
