NEW YORK — After nearly seven years at Nielsen as a Media Analytics Consulting VP, Idil Miriam Cakim has exited the company.

She’ll now be getting more familiar with the goings-on inside 345 Hudson Street, on Manhattan’s West Side.

As of today, Cakim — author of the 2010 book Implementing Word of Mouth Marketing — is now the SVP of Research and Insights at Entercom.

In this role, Cakim will lead the company’s business-to-business strategy and audio insights practice, with a focus on building perspectives, ideas, and client strategies. Cakim reports to Chief Marketing Officer Paul Suchman and will work closely with Chief Revenue Officer Bob Philips and Tim Murphy, Entercom’s EVP of Corporate Business Development.

“Idil’s deep experience across media platforms and complex data sets will greatly enrich our ability to deliver actionable insights and even more powerful audio strategies to our clients,” said Suchman. “Her ability as a storyteller will help bolster the narratives we bring to market. We’re thrilled to welcome Idil to our leadership team.”

Cakim noted, “Audio is going through a true renaissance and Entercom is well positioned to lead. I’m excited to help shape and build the future of the industry.”

At Nielsen, Cakim led custom media analytics projects for advertisers across various sectors. “Cakim played an integral role in transferring big data from metered television, digital and radio panels into meaningful business assets for brands across the U.S., Japan and China,” Entercom says. “She also supported clients in achieving their objectives by advising on advertising efficiency based on media effectiveness, optimization, and targeting exercises.”

Cakim’s early career experience includes roles as a Burson-Marsteller Director, and as SVP of Interactive Media at GolinHarris from January 2007-June 2011.
